A tornado in Greenfield, Iowa killed many people. Terrific condition.
The Iowa State Patrol reports many fatalities when a tornado hit Greenfield, a tiny town.
Social media photos and videos indicate massive damage. The number of deaths remains unknown, according to Iowa officials. Officials think all 2,000 residents of the community have been found, but search operations continue Tuesday evening.
The extreme weather also wounded at least 12 individuals, according to officials.
Senior center was among the destroyed houses and businesses, but authorities aren’t sure whether anybody was hurt.
There are now shelters available for the locals. The city has imposed a curfew for the duration of the night, beginning at 10 p.m. The Iowa State Patrol will provide further information on the cleaning activities on Wednesday morning.

Damage across the state
A strong tornado watch was in effect for Iowa on Tuesday, and reports of many possible tornadoes have been made throughout the state as well as certain areas of Minnesota and Wisconsin.
33 tornadoes have been recorded throughout the Midwest as of Tuesday night, the most of which were in central and western Iowa.
Throughout the late afternoon, the Greenfield region, Macksburg, Winterset, Norwalk, Alleman, Cambridge, Nevada, and Pleasant Hill have all reported seeing tornadoes, according to the National Weather Service in Des Moines. Most of these areas are west of Des Moines and all are within 50 miles of the city.
In addition to those claims, it was approaching Carbon, Iowa, which is located approximately 60 miles east of Omaha, earlier in the day. What seems to be a tornado in the Red Oak, Iowa region is also captured on another video.
A tornado that destroyed a windmill close to Williamson, some 40 miles from the Missouri border, was also recorded by a professional weather chaser.
