Twice in the year 2023 Late on Sunday night, country music star Morgan Wallen, who had previously won a Billboard Music Award, was taken into custody at Chief’s, a honky-tonk in Nashville that was just opened by his business partner and old confidant Eric Church. There are three counts of reckless endangerment and one act of disorderly behavior among the charges that have been brought against Wallen.
The singer, who is thirty years old, was accused of tossing a chair from the rooftop of the institution down to the street below while the bar was open shortly before eleven o’clock at night, according to a report filed by the police. According to the report, officers from the Metro Nashville Police Department were standing in front of the bar when they witnessed the chair smash into the ground just a few feet away from where they were standing.
The 57th Annual Country Music Association Awards will take place in Nashville, Tennessee, on Wednesday, November 8, 2023. Morgan Wallen will be walking the red carpet during the event.
Wallen was seen “lunging and throwing an object over the roof,” according to the report, which included officers who checked security footage about the incident.
